Florence & May Logo Design
Samantha and Mike created The Traditional Cupcake Company and steadily built up a loyal fanbase for their yummy cakes. But they weren’t happy with the branding they had put together themselves when they started and decided to rebrand.
TTCC became ‘Florence & May’, named after their grandmas who had taught them a love of baking.
I was tasked with creating a visual identity packed with personality, to reflect the highly personal origin of the new name. And with their focus on delivering quality, fresh handmade cupcakes, the identity needed a premium, bespoke feel.
The logo is based around a custom ampersand, which swirls around like cupcake icing. An elegant palette of purple, black and silvery-grey gives the identity a premium feel. And a series of monogram and badge submarks gives the identity flexibility so it can easily be used on their website, business cards, stickers on their packaging and much more.
