Content Boost Branding
with business card + website design
After working together for several years, Yva from Boost Business Support approached me to talk about rebranding. The business was refocusing, moving away from virtual assistance services, to blog management and content strategy. So Yva planned a new name for the business and needed a new identity and a website.
Old Branding + Website:
With Content Boost, Yva wanted to create a more relaxed, less corporate feeling, with loads of personality. Her inspiration board was full of ’80s inspired imagery, with bright neon colours, rockets and space imagery, so I knew instantly this was going to be one of the most fun design briefs I’ve ever worked on!
We’d discussed using a rocket to fit with the ‘boost’ theme and the new strapline: The launchpad for your content. As you can imagine, I loved playing around with different rocket ideas:
The new logo combines a launching rocket icon, with the trails forming a subtle C, and this wraps around the business name. The main blue is very similar to the previous BBS blue, a nod to the old branding, but it’s teamed with a deep night sky blue and bright orange and pink accent colours. Several submarks were developed to make it a really flexible identity, and supporting graphics, like backgrounds and star constellations will let Yva easily apply the branding to other materials.
Once the new logo was finalised, I started on the new website. The new design was, naturally, full of celestial imagery and some space-themed icons added a fun touch to Yva’s new services and packages. The bright orange and pink were used throughout the site to draw attention to calls to action, like email signup forms and integration with a booking system and Stripe payments means that Yva’s clients can quickly and easily book consultations and pay for services.
