One problem that I see a lot of people having with WordPress is weird paragraph spacing. There’s either far too much space, or not enough, and how the heck do you fix it?

Too much space.
Does your text look like this?
These huge gaps between paragraphs often appear when you copy and paste your text in from a word processing app like Microsoft Word. These other programmes add their own formatting, which can clash with WordPress’ own formatting.
Or if you type your content straight into the WordPress Visual editor, are you hitting the return/enter key twice at the end of a paragraph? Either method can add those pesky extra spaces.
To get rid of them, use the Text editor and between each paragraph you’ll see “ ”:
Those are the extra line breaks and you just need to delete them so your text now looks like this:
Next time you’re pasting your text into WordPress, hit the Paste as text button first. This will clean up the extra formatting added by Word. And if you’re typing straight into the Visual editor, remember to just hit return/enter once.

No spaces.
If your paragraphs are huddled together like penguins trying to shelter from a snowstorm, have you been adding your content into the Text editor?
While just hitting return/enter once is the right way to create your paragraph breaks, if you do that while using the Text editor, you’re adding line breaks rather than paragraph breaks.
So switch over to the Visual editor and carry on hitting return/enter once. Or if you want to keep using the Text editor, hit return/enter twice so your spacing goes from this:
To this:
And that’s it. WordPress’ weird paragraph spacing is a totally annoying and really common problem, thankfully with a super easy fix!
