Happy Holidays

Well, that’s another year (almost) gone! 2011 has been quite an eventful year and in some ways I’m not sorry to see it go – but that’s another story!

Anyway, I’m looking forward to 2012 as I have some exciting things planned, and I hope you’re looking forward to the new year too. This is my last post of the year, but I’ll be back after the holidays with more blog posts, some portfolio updates, and some lovely projects to get started on.

I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you in 2012.

Today I’d like to give you all a little present – my first freebie!

If you’re like me, you like to get a bit crafty with your Christmas presents, whether that’s some home-made cookies or hand-made cards and gift tags. So here are some retro-styled gift tags, ready for you to print, cut out and then simply make a hole and use some coloured thread to attach to your gifts. Read more…

All Change

It’s time for a change around here, and I’ve started with the logo.

That’s right, recently I’ve been occupied with every designer’s nightmare – designing a new identity for myself.

Summer Holiday!

The sun is shining, even in Aberdeen, and it’s time for a summer holiday.

In my case, though, it’s not two weeks relaxing on the beach, but several weeks of decorating and DIY.

Having moved home at the end of June, I’m taking time out over the summer to get my new flat in order. There are boxes still to be unpacked, rooms to paint, and pictures to hang to get my flat looking homely. So in order to concentrate on that and avoid the lure of Photoshop and Illustrator, my computer will be one of the last things to be unpacked.

Obviously, I won’t be taking on any freelance work during this time, but if you’d like to talk about projects for the autumn, get in touch. Please be patient as it may take me a few days to respond to emails. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, updates will also be less frequent than usual.

In the meantime, why not check out my latest work, word-play.org.uk.

Hope you have a great summer.
