Scheduling posts in Facebook

Facebook recently added a handy new feature: scheduled posts. Have you tried it yet?

It’s already possible to schedule your Facebook posts using other apps, such as Hootsuite, but Facebook tends to give more prominence to updates posted directly within the site rather than through a third party app. So if you already make use of scheduled posts, it’d be worthwhile making the switch and scheduling them within Facebook itself.

Here’s how to schedule a post:

set date and time of post

  1. Create your status update as normal.
  2. Click on the clock icon in the bottom left corner and select the year, month, day and time you want your post to appear – it must be scheduled at least ten minutes into the future.
  3. Click schedule.

It’s as easy as that!

You can then view and edit your scheduled posts by going to the admin panel of your page and selecting ‘Use Activity Log’ from the Edit Page menu.
